HANNAH JUDGE

Artist

About

Hannah began training at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in 2015, she now exhibits and works in Dorset. The private atelier teaches the sight-size technique, a classical method practiced by masters from Velazquez and Titian to Sargent, in which the sitter is placed alongside the canvas at a distance in order for the artist to observe the whole. She completed three years at the Studio, before returning to Dorset where she now works in her studio and completes commissions all over the country. Whilst portraiture has been her passion, Hannah also has an ardent interest in anatomical studies, an aspect of the Studio’s extensive figure drawing tuition. Her other love is still life painting, her flair for which earned her the nickname ‘little Velazquez’ from Charles Cecil.

Hannah has a collection of work on rotating display at The Greyhound Inn in Sydling St. Nicholas, all works available to buy and are also listed on this site. She has also been featured in Sandbanks Life magazine in their March 2023 issue: Sandbanks Life Feature

Hannah has exhibited with:
